Welcome to the first day of this Mindset Magic Challenge.
I’m so happy that you’re here!
The purpose for this challenge is to give you a quick yet powerful start to shifting your mindset. I’ll try to keep the emails quite short and actionable so you have no excuses and will actually do the work. Please note that today’s email includes some preparatory information that won’t be included in the rest of them!
If you have any questions or beautiful insights that you’d like to share during this challenge, you can reply to the email and share your truth. Your truth is always welcomed, accepted, and encouraged.
Let’s get into it!
What is mindset and how do I shift it?
Your mindset consists of the thoughts and beliefs that are deeply rooted in your conscious and subconscious mind. It affects how you see yourself, your abilities, your possibilities, your past, your present, your entire fucking world.
You shift your mindset by lovingly observing it and choosing new thoughts and beliefs that feel expansive, inspiring, and empowering to you. You can do this work in different ways, but this challenge focuses on journaling.
Journaling is a free, accessible, and incredibly powerful tool. After you’ve read your daily email and gotten the journaling prompts, whip out your pen and paper and let it flow.
For some of you this might be difficult, especially if you’re not used to being completely honest and open with yourself. You might feel stuck, like you don’t know what to say, or doubt what’s coming up for you. You might feel the urge to edit and really think about what you’re writing so you don’t get it ‘wrong‘. You might just throw the pen across the room, decide this is stupid, and give up.
These are all perfectly normal, valid reactions to this work. Honor whatever comes up for you and accept it as part of the healing process.
This is deep inner work. We hold onto some really painful wounds that we might not even know still exist. But that’s why we do this. We do this work to heal, grow, and let go of what doesn’t serve us so that we can shine our light as bright as we can.
Your willingness to show up for yourself and commit to this for the next 10 days has already started the healing. You are on your way. You are ready.
And you fucking got this.
A couple of tips…
If you’re new to this work and find yourself blocked or stuck, I’d recommend journaling when your mind and its defences are at their weakest. Keep a journal by your bed and do the challenge work right after you wake up or right before you go to sleep. Schedule 15-30 minutes for it. The more you commit, the bigger the change!
If possible, find a space and time where you can be completely undisturbed and enjoy your solitude in quiet.
Journaling is part of my daily morning ritual. I always meditate before I start writing so I can soothe my mind, invite my higher self to the party, and become a clear channel so that my my authentic truth and desires can come out.
If that’s not your thing, you can prepare your mind and energy in other ways. Get active, practice some yoga, go for a run, have a 2-minute dance party. Relax and write in the bathtub with a glass of wine if that feels right to you!
Just do something to prepare yourself that doesn’t require your thoughts or opinions.
Because I’m the spiritual bitch that I am, I love listening to Kundalini chanting while I journal. It can really get you in the right mind space and help you tune into your intuition and inner guidance. You can also put on some meditation music, binaural beats, or Solfeggio frequencies. Or Spice Girls.
It really is up to you. You decide what works for you.
DAY 1 HOMEWORK
I want us to start this challenge off on an inspired and hopeful note. I also want you to take some time to observe your motivation for joining and what your intentions are.
What is the journey you’re taking yourself on? Remember – I’m only here to guide you and support you. It’s up to you to do the work to get the results you desire.
Prepare yourself, find a quiet place where you can commit to your journaling without distractions, and answer the following questions:
1. How do I want to feel in my life?
Get deeper by reflecting on all relevant aspects of your life: How do I want to feel in my body, relationships, work, financial reality, spirituality, self-care…
2. What is my intention for the next 10 days? Why is it important to me to shift my mindset? Why is it important that I commit to myself right now?
Declare your commitment: I commit to this work by… setting my alarm 15 minutes earlier / journaling first thing in the morning / making time for this at xPM.
3. Today, I feel grateful for… because…
List at least 5 things that you’re truly grateful for today. Focus on the GOOD in your life – nothing is too small.
Tomorrow we’ll take a deeper look on your current beliefs and start shifting them towards something beautiful, supportive, and inspiring. Because you are fucking worthy.
You can trust yourself.
You’re always on the right path.
It’s safe to believe in yourself.
You have the power to create the life of your wildest dreams.
I’m so proud of you for being here,
